Privacy Policy
This policy explains how ZEBYA Pty Ltd handles personal information when customers, providers and other people use or contact the ZEBYA platform.
Last updated: 20 August 2026
Information we may collect
Depending on how you use ZEBYA, we may collect:
- name, email address, mobile number and account information;
- booking details, requested services, location, date, time and number of people;
- provider profile, service, pricing, availability, travel-area and portfolio information;
- identity-verification information and verification status;
- payment and transaction information relating to the ZEBYA booking fee;
- communications, support enquiries, complaints and safety reports;
- technical information such as device, browser, security and platform-usage data where generated by our systems and service providers.
Why we use personal information
We use personal information to operate ZEBYA, including to:
- create and secure accounts;
- verify provider email, mobile and identity checks;
- match customer requests with suitable providers;
- manage booking requests, confirmations, notifications and payments;
- review provider applications and portfolio content;
- prevent fraud, misuse and duplicate provider accounts;
- respond to support, safety, complaint and dispute matters;
- maintain, secure and improve the platform; and
- meet legal, regulatory, accounting and record-keeping obligations.
When information is shared
ZEBYA may disclose information to customers or providers where necessary to arrange and perform a booking. We limit direct contact information before confirmation where the platform flow allows us to do so.
We also use specialist technology providers for hosting and database services, identity verification, payments, address and mapping services, email and SMS delivery, security and related platform operations. Those providers receive only the information needed for their role and handle it under their own contractual and legal obligations.
Overseas processing
Some technology providers used by ZEBYA operate global infrastructure. Personal information may therefore be processed or stored outside Australia, including in locations used by our cloud, identity, messaging, payment and communications providers. The exact processing location can depend on the provider and service configuration in use at the time.
Identity information
Provider identity checks are performed using a specialist identity-verification service. ZEBYA receives verification information needed to manage the provider account. Identity information is used for verification, safety, fraud prevention and compliance purposes and is not displayed publicly as part of the provider profile.
Security and retention
ZEBYA uses technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect account and booking information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for platform operation, bookings, fraud prevention, disputes, legal obligations and legitimate business records, then delete or de-identify it where appropriate.
Access, correction and privacy concerns
You can ask to access or correct personal information ZEBYA holds about you, or raise a privacy concern. Use the Contact ZEBYA page and choose the privacy option. We may need to verify your identity before providing or changing account information.
Australian privacy law
ZEBYA is committed to handling personal information transparently and consistently with applicable Australian privacy law. This policy should be read together with any collection notice shown at the point particular information is requested.
